I completed my primary training as a counsellor in 2010. Before that training and the necessary 'day jobs' which accompanied my training I lived and worked overseas. From 1986 I established and developed a company near Lisbon, Portugal, working as the managing director of that company. I sold it before moving back to England in 2006.  At a young age I decided that I wanted to 'see the world'.  I started applying for jobs in overseas locations. Then I worked in various worldwide locations in the international  telecommunication industry, commencing overseas in the Libyan oilfields in 1969 at 19yrs old. The locations included: Libya, Lisbon, Gibraltar, Syria, Gabon, Bermuda, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Columbia, Papua New Guinea.  The locations were often 'challenging', sometimes really enjoyable; all were interesting. I did not 'see the world', I did have the many of the worldly experiences which I wanted.

Working in that manner in many varied locations worldwide has provided me with a fasinating knowledge of ways in which different people live, work and believe. All have behaviour patterns which are varied in many ways.

In 2006 it was the first time I was a permanent resident in England since 37 yrs. It was a major developmental stage of my life. As part of my seeking for further knowledge and qualifications I engaged with Bath Spa University and gained a Masters Degree in Psychology, which I completed in 2019.
